Sales manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for the planning, directing and coordinating of all sales operations of the Company. This will involve improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through implementation of effective methods and strategies ensuring that all workings are in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with quality requirements.   

Responsibilities 

• Managing a sales and administrative team  
• Tracking sales numbers and overall success  
• Creating estimated sales forecasts, both short and long-term  
• Playing a key role in sales planning using internal data, along with market and competitor research, to help drive sales strategy and “hit the numbers” as set in sales targets 
• Competitor review of similar models 
• Initiating training or motivational meetings for the team 
• Keeping track of staff recruitment and work with Human Resources Manager for hiring of new staff as needed to correspond with specific duties and skill sets  
• Overseeing sales floor and individual deal closings  

Qualifications 

• Exemplary customer service abilities  
• Attention to detail and sales numbers  
• At least 5 years’ experience in the auto sales industry and managing a team 
• Experience and a proven track record of success in sales, and in a senior management position or commercial management  
• Extensive knowledge of inventory and various automotive specs  
• Ability to juggle multiple duties and complete tasks through creative problem solving  
• Outgoing personality and at ease communicating with our customers and sales team  
• A graduate level of intellect, preferably with a higher degree in a management discipline
