St Maarten here I come!
Are you an experienced Engineer with excellent leadership qualities and are you open to relocating to the friendly and beautiful island of St. Maarten? We believe we have a great opportunity for a dynamic and inspiring leader.
You will be responsible for directing all maintenance and engineering related matters at the resort including energy management, asset protection, preventive maintenance and repairs to buildings, grounds and equipment and inventory control. You will ensure that the resort quality standards are met atall time with great attention for safety and security. Managing multiple teamswhile identifying and seizing opportunities to maximize the performance of the department is essential in this leadership role. Meeting financial goals through excellent budget management, internal and external reporting to allstakeholders and managing overall strategic objectives while ensuring a hands-on approach when dealing with day-to-day operations is necessary. Guest satisfaction is of high priority as well as building and maintaining sustainable relationships with all involved in order to achieve and exceed expectations.
Is this you?
An experienced Engineer with solid knowledge (degree in Engineering) and experience in maintenance and construction engineering in addition to progressive experience in the hospitality business (preferably resort experience) who can challenge, motivate and create synergy in the team. With a strong sense of responsibility including availability and willingness to work flexible hours to guarantee high quality work. You have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform well and make decisions in a dynamic and stressful environment, in an effective and efficient manner. Proven management experience and leadership skills to foster a culture of growth, accountability, commitment and inspiration. Lead by example, with the talent to manage a diverse team and communicate well on all levels. Last but least you are very customer centric and have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills. Experience with working in the (Dutch) Caribbean is a must.
