About the job
The Cargo Duty Manager is responsible for the day-to-day safe and efficient operation of cargo operations while ensuring customer service standards and contractual services are met.
The Cargo Duty Manager is responsible for effectively managing staff rostering (planned leave, manpower coverage and staff time to reduce dependence on overtime), ensures that applicable safety and quality standards are met, implements/maintains and closely supervises all safety and security measures related to people, equipment, facilities and aircraft involved in the operation, reviews key performance indicators (KPI's) and takes necessary actions to meet needs, maintains as well as up-dates company’s and customer manuals and documentation, implements and monitors the local emergency plan, develops and maintains good relations with customers and airport authorities, finds of solutions to conflicts and irregularities, attends and contributes to internal meetings, complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies, performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 2 years leadership experience
A minimum of 5 years warehouse management experience
Ability to deal with conflict
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Customer focus and quality awareness
High standards in quality and service level agreements
Must be able to work flexible working
